Yes. The Language Center offers classes called English for Foreign Students during the summer and school year.

The Bechtel International Center also maintains a list of non-credit English classes in the area that are open to students and their families.

Note that TOEFL scores may still be a factor in admissions, and so these classes are best seen as a way to improve your fluency and proficiency.

Unfortunately, most financial aid at Stanford is funded by the U.S. government and is therefore only available to U.S. citizens. Non-U.S. citizens will need to seek out outside sources of funding.

The Financial Aid Office has prepared this list of private loans you may be eligible for.

There is no minimum, but scores in the 90^th percentile are preferred.

The Admissions department does not release statistics about its applicants or accepted students.

Full-time students generally take 8-10 units per quarter, which usually amounts to three or four classes. All full-time students are required to take at least 8 units except for their last quarter, and tuition becomes more expensive if you take more than 10 units.

50% RAs and CAs are limited to 10 units but there is no upper limit otherwise.

Part-time (HCP) students generally only take one or two classes per quarter.
